I would like to thank all the support we have recieved so far both at home and especially on our travels to belast and around the county this year so far. The support has a big influence on our performance when the chips are down aswell as makes it more rewarding to celebrate the victories with the people who are watching.
I would kindly ask any of the underage players parents who have not come and seen the first's play this year to may be consider droping in at one of the home games if they don't mind. We really enjoy anyone and everyone turning up to see the games. So if you are reading this and haven't please remember that we would love to have you down. We are on a fantastic run at the minute and the games will get tougher, so lets all pull together.
Thanks again to all the loyals and the fans far and wide around.

They say accidents come in threes and unfortunately last week saw three club stalwarts all on the recieving end of bad luck.
Firstly wee Cormac broke his wrist. He is one of Fundamentals stars and the game of rounders on Saturday sorely missed his presence.
Cormac's uncle, Ian, our youth officer, also suffered a broken elbow from a fall that he had last week. Ian has been a constant source of help and support for us and his organisational skills have greatly enhanced the provision of youth activities in the parish.
Finally Ellen was to suffer the same fate as Ian on Saturday when she broke her elbow. Ellen has been playing football for the club for the past 5 years. She was part of the Glenravel Primary School team that won the girls' SW outdoor Football 2 weeks ago. She is also a very skillful Camogie player representing both club and school with honour as well as swimming for Ballymena swimming club.
On behalf of all those involved in the club at the primary school level, both players and coaches I wish all three of them a speedy recovery.

Glenravel 1-12 Creggan 1-12
Another fine evening, another sizeable crowd and another enthralling encounter Tuesday evening past as Con Magees played host to Creggan, current county minor champions. The visitors opened the scoring in the second minute - however Glenravel set about the task in hand and fine scores followed in the 5th and 6th minute from the boot of Michael O'Mullan and David Higgins. A further three points on the bounce from the visitors saw them forge ahead before being reeled back in again from a Caolan McCambridge point and a left footed effort from David Higgins. Creggan continuously ran into defensive roadblocks as the swarm defence, well marshalled by Conor Garry and Gerard O'Mullan, with able lieutenants in Josh Mckeown, Shane McGarry (on his debut) Danny Dowds (having his best game to date) and Paul McGuckian (steady eddy) continuously denied them the space in which to operate. At midfield O'Mullan and Quinn fought tirelessly against much bigger opponents - and as the half progressed space began to open up in the visitor's defence - especially straight down the middle where David Higgins was having a field day. A Christy O'Kane point on 16 mins preceded a period of almost total dominance in the last 10 mins of the half, Declan Higgins smashing a fine effort to the net on 26 mins and then playing support act to his name sake, David for another fine score - in total 1-3 was scored in this time to no reply, half time coming just at the wrong time. Indeed this was the case - Creggan re-grouped and hit 1-2 in the opening 11 mins of the half to leave the match square. Having worked their socks off, Declan Diamond and O'Kane were replaced by younger versions, Karl Fitzpatrick Declan Traynor and Jordan Mc Neill as the game entered its crucial phase. A further point from Higgins and a fine effort from Connor McNeill restored the home sides advantage, but these were cancelled out as the game was levelled once again with 10 minutes on the clock. A Traynor point and McCambridge free once more put daylight between the sides - however with the 2 points in sight Creggan somehow piled on the pressure with points in the 29th and 30th minute - as the referee's whistle shortly afterwards brought the exciting affair to a close and a draw. A great team effort - lets build on this and move onwards!

with a trip to crumlin on the cars the reserves headed aldergrove. we arrived to find out that our local fireman sam (eammon h) had made an opener to his season.
as the game got underway we had eammmon roamin the middle of the park like he hadnt been away, tho aldergrove got things on the way with the first score, we started to buck up our ideas an play a bit of football. with ronnan (0,1) in full forward with hands like glue, we started to get the scoring on the way.
with a few stray kicks frm eammon(0,3) that drifted over the bar somehow no one nos tho still down by a few with aldergrove havin scored a few soft goals. we then had paul(ushey) to step up 2 the mark and put 1 in the back of the net (1,2). meanwhile the back line were battling hard time after time but it just wasnt to be there day with with 4 soft goals being scored.
the forwards still fightin for scores with ryan mc glade claming 2 points and a goal (pen) and daz claimin a point.
final score aldergrove 4-8 glenravel 2-8.
sorry for the delay
