We were once more well beaten by Loughgiel, but yet again we fought for every ball particularly in the first half. We only dropped the head at the start of the second half when we conceded two goals inside the opening 30 seconds – but we did pick it up once more and worked hard until the final whistle.
Our case was not helped when Joanne was taken out off the ball early in the match and had to leave the action. Then we lost Kerrie-Rose when she was caught by a late pull. With Shannon Kerr also out from last week, we had to use up our sub panel and they all tried hard.
This team has worked well and improved since the start of the year – their fourth place in the league testament to the effort they put in. Most are under-age next year and surely we have a sound basis on which to improve further.
