This was a very competitive match throughout and we were very unlucky at key points in the game. After going 1-0 to 0-2 up, we hit the crossbar and then the goal-post and also missed another opening about five minutes before half-time. Then in the last couple of minutes of the half, Portglenone grabbed two goals to lead by 2-5 to 1-0.
We made all the running again at the start of the second half, but had only a goal to show for it. Portglenone weathered the storm and hit 1-1 and eased to a flattering victory. There was good fight from the team, but we were caught ball-watching and moving off our players at crucial times and paid the price. Kerrie-Rose was excellent in goals, while the two Danielles, Shauna and Joanne all worked hard.
