We built on the Tir na nÓg result by putting in another excellent performance in Rasharkin. This time we got the early score – a goal from Shauna – that settled us and we controlled the first half and deserved to lead by 1-3 to 0-0 at the break, with Casey’s point worth a mention.
Our girls were doing very well in the slippery conditions – controlling first time and getting round the opponent to clear the sliotar.
At the start of the second half, Rasharkin came back with a goal that owed a lot to the wet conditions, but we responded immediately with a great point from Caoimhe. Rasharkin however picked up another soft goal and then stole a draw with a late point.
Overall however our girls should be satisfied with the point and they know they can build on this result when the sides meet again at the end of the month.
