We had a very young senior side out for a challenge game on Wednesday against Rasharkin and they did really well, coming away with a comfortable win – Rasharkin actually scored in the last minute! It took the girls a while to warm up and there were only two points scored in the first half. However Caoimhe took a great point at the start of the second half and once Shauna scored a super goal, we started to play with confidence and tagged on good scores. Our defence was good – the full back line didn’t see much action as the half-backs really shut out the danger. Joanne and Shauna worked very hard at midfield and up front all the forwards moved the ball well and we should probably have had a few more scores. Player of the Match (shared) : Shauna & Bernadette.
