Glenravel 5-11 Moneyglass 2-2 In dirty miserable conditions at Fr Maginn Park Glenravel recorded a facile victory against limited opposition. On a cold wintry like evening Glenravel took the field determined to make up for the disappointment of last weeks outcome. Michael O'Mullan and Joseph Scullion opened the home sides account before a torrential hail storm interrupted proceedings for ten minutes. When play resumed the stream of points continued from Caolan McCambridge, O'Mullan, Scullion, Sean O'Boyle and Conor McNeill. Midfield was on top and the half backs pressed forward in the relentless rain. On two rare excursions into the Glenravel defence Moneyglass did tag on two frees - however a glut of Gordon Dillon goals put the tie beyond any doubt as the refereee signalled the end of the first half. A score of 3-9 in the first thirty minutes was good scoring in the conditions, but the all round team effort and the options taken leading to the score was equally impressive. Understandably Glenravel relaxed on the resumption and conceded two goals in the opening ten minutes of the half. however these were cancelled out by further majors from McNeill and Dillon. A final Michael O'Mullan point was to be the last score as the referee thankfully blew up early. Next round in two weeks time!! Next week home to Lisburn! Training on Sunday at 1230.
